AB Components has supplied Donaldson filtration to British industry for more than twenty years, from a trade counter in Ilkeston, Derbyshire. Most calls we take are not about which filter performs best. They are closer to this: a machine is down, somebody has a filthy element in their hand with a number stamped on the side, and they need the right replacement today. That is the job. Everything below is arranged to make it quicker.
What we stock
Hydraulic and air filtration make up the bulk of it. The rest spans fuel, lube, breathers, air-oil separators, pre-cleaners, clamps, mufflers, housings and the assemblies that hold them together. If Donaldson catalogue it, we can usually get it, and every line listed here carries live pricing.
Can you match a part number from another brand?
Usually, yes. Every product record carries its Donaldson number plus the manufacturer codes it cross-references, so a search for a competitor or OEM number will often land on the Donaldson equivalent. If the search returns nothing, phone it through. Cross-referencing by eye is a large part of what the counter staff do, and a photograph of the old element with a tape measure beside it solves more cases than a part number alone.
Not every number is unique. The same code can appear on filters from different makers with different specifications, which is why we ask for the filter type and the machine it came off whenever the number is ambiguous.
How stock works
Two figures sit behind each product. The first is what is on our shelves in Ilkeston, available for collection or same-day despatch. The second is held at Donaldson’s warehouse in Belgium, which adds a few days. Both are shown on the product page so you can see what you are committing to before you order rather than after.
Delivery
Orders over £150 ship free to mainland UK. Below that, courier rates are calculated at checkout against your postcode, with next-day services available. You are welcome to collect from Ilkeston during business hours, and local deliveries are handled by our own van.
