Donaldson Transmission Filters

Transmission filters protect the hydraulic side of a transmission: the pump, the control valves and the clutch packs that rely on clean fluid to engage cleanly and consistently. Transmission fluid does mechanical work as well as lubricating, so contamination shows up as harsh or slipping shifts and as wear in components that are expensive to reach.

Filters differ by element type, micron rating and the housing they seat in, and transmission fluid specifications vary between manufacturers, so a filter that fits is not automatically the correct one.
